Privacy Policy
Plain version first: a static library with no accounts, no comments, and no signup forms.
This is the privacy policy for The Prompt Jar. Plain version first: this site is a static library of journaling prompts. It has no accounts, no comments, and no signup forms.
What stays in your browser. Saved prompts in My Jar, pack progress checklists, and your generator preferences are stored only in your own browser’s local storage, on your own device. They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser storage removes them completely.
What you write is yours. Your journal entries never touch this site. Prompts are ideas we publish; what you write from them belongs to you, on your paper or in your own app.
Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which prompts and packs readers use most. It counts page views and general usage in aggregate. It never sees your journal writing, your saved prompts, or your pack progress, which stay in your browser. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart; no advertising features are switched on.
Printing and copying. The copy and print buttons act only in your browser. Nothing about what you copy or print is tracked or reported.
If this policy changes, the change will be posted on this page with the date it took effect.
